Patricia Green Life Story

Patricia Gail Green died after a stroke, surrounded by her family on February 23 at The Stayton where she had resided for two years. She was born July 17, 1939, in Marshall, Texas to Dorothy Taylor and Roland Green whom she loved dearly. Always excelling at her studies, Gail was a graduate of Amon Carter Riverside High School, TCU, and received an MLA from Texas Woman's University. She spent her entire career with the Irving Public Schools as a librarian.
Away from the books, Gail enjoyed traveling with friends, especially in Great Britain where she always felt at home. Stateside, her best hours were those spent gambling in Bossier City and later at Winstar, but these endeavors were never bountiful-just entertaining. Her home life was accentuated by her love and care of furry feline friends.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Rolinda and Wayne Watson, nephew Steve Lovelace and wife, Linda, nieces Jennifer Spiegelman and husband Jeff, Dana Jeffress and husband TJ; her cousins Carol Little of Longview, TX and Marilyn Cromeans of El Paso, TX. The family would like to thank her devoted caregivers for their tender affection and attention to her needs. A graveside service will be  held at 2:00pm, Monday, March 2, 2026 at New Grover Cemetery in Marshall, Texas where she no doubt feels at home in the midst of those who loved her.
